Eternity band
A ring band set with a continuous line of matching stones, either all the way around or across the top half.
Full versus half eternity
A full eternity band has stones around the entire circumference. It looks spectacular but is hard to resize, because there is no plain metal to cut and rejoin. A half eternity band sets stones across the top and leaves the underside plain, which is more comfortable next to an engagement ring and easier to resize.
Setting styles
Eternity stones can be held by shared prongs, a channel, bezels or pavé. Round brilliants are classic, while baguettes and emerald cuts give a sleek, architectural line.
Rendering eternity bands
An eternity band is about continuity, so images should prove that the stones carry on. A three quarter view that looks along the curve of the band works better than a flat side view. If you sell the band as a set with an engagement ring, keep both rings in one CAD file so they render stacked, the way they will be worn.
Make sure the stones are evenly spaced and identical in size in the CAD. Any variation is very visible because the eye compares neighbouring stones.
A 360° video is the most convincing format for full eternity bands, as it shows the stones going all the way around. In RenderMyJewels you can export the same turntable in square for marketplaces and in 9:16 for reels from one setup. The clips save as WebM, and any free converter turns them into MP4 for platforms that ask for it.
Sizing the model
Model the band at the customer's real size. A ring designed at US size 7 and scaled to size 5 squeezes the stones together. Our ring size converter lists inner diameters for common size systems.
